This is the question almost everyone arrives with, so here is an honest answer rather than a sales one.
Jowls form for three reasons, and usually all three at once. The fat pads in your midface shrink and descend. The bone underneath them resorbs with age. And the skin itself loses elasticity and no longer holds its shape.

What Is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura is an injectable made by IBSA Derma, the same company behind the original Profhilo. It uses a hybrid of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, produced with their NAHYCO Hybrid Technology, at a higher concentration than standard Profhilo.
What makes it different is where it goes and what it does. Rather than spreading through the skin to hydrate it, Structura is placed in the fat layer, where it supports and reorganises the fat tissue that gives your face its shape. It restores the projection you have lost across the cheeks and midface, and because it is still hyaluronic acid, your skin quality improves alongside the volume.
It launched in London in June 2024, roughly a decade after the original Profhilo. Rachel and Sally were invited to that launch, so Tinkable has been working with Structura since it first arrived in the UK, which is not something most clinics can say.

What Profhilo Structura Does For You

Your Treatment, Step By Step
1. Your Complimentary Consultation
Your practitioner assesses your face properly, works out whether volume loss or skin laxity is driving what is bothering you, and tells you honestly whether Structura will get you the result you want. 2. Mapping Your Face
Structura is placed at specific points, chosen for your face rather than from a template. Your practitioner marks these out based on where your volume has actually gone, which is different for everyone.
3. The Injections
The product is delivered into the fat layer through a fine needle at each point. It is quick, usually around thirty minutes including preparation, and most people describe it as very manageable. A topical numbing cream is available if you would prefer it.
4. Afterwards
You will have small raised bumps at each injection point. These are normal, they are the product sitting where it should be, and they settle within a few hours as it disperses. You can leave and carry on with your day.
When You Will See Results, And How Many Sessions You Need
Structura works gradually, because it is restoring and reorganising your own tissue rather than simply filling a space. Most people notice their face looking fuller and better supported within a couple of weeks of the first treatment, and the result continues to build.

Looking After Your Results
- Leave the injection points alone for the first few hours, no rubbing or massaging.
- Skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds for 24 hours.
- Leave make up off for the rest of the day where you can.
- Wear SPF daily, as you should anyway.
- Follow the specific advice your practitioner gives you, because it is based on your face and not a generic list.
