Usually not on its own, and any clinic telling you otherwise is selling rather than advising.
That is not the answer most people want when they arrive at this page, so it is worth explaining properly. Profhilo is an excellent treatment. It is just not the treatment for the problem you have described.
Here is what actually causes jowls, what Profhilo does and does not do about them, and what will genuinely help.
Jowls form for three reasons, and in most faces all three are happening at once.
The fat pads in your midface shrink and slide downwards. This is the big one. The fat that once sat high on your cheek loses volume and descends, and the slack ends up along your jawline. It is why a face can look tired rather than simply older.
The bone beneath resorbs. Facial bone density reduces with age, so the scaffolding holding everything up gets smaller. There is not much to be done about that non surgically, but it explains why volume loss shows up faster in some people than others.
The skin loses elasticity. Collagen and elastin production slow down, so the skin no longer springs back and holds its shape. This is the part people assume is the whole story, and it usually is not.
Which of these is driving your jowls determines which treatment will actually help you. Getting that wrong is how people end up disappointed after spending several hundred pounds.
The mistake people make is assuming jowls are a skin problem. Most of the time they are a volume problem, and no amount of skincare or tightening will fix what has actually dropped. Work out the cause first, then choose the treatment.

Profhilo is an injectable made from highly purified hyaluronic acid. It is not a filler and it is not an anti wrinkle injection. It spreads through the skin and remodels it, prompting your skin to produce its own collagen and elastin. The technical term is bio remodelling.
The result is a change in the quality of your skin. It holds water better, it feels firmer, and the crepey texture that comes with age softens. It is genuinely very good at what it does.
But look again at that list of three causes. Profhilo works on the third one, and only partially. It will improve the quality and firmness of the skin over your jawline. It will not lift what has dropped, because what has dropped is sitting in a layer Profhilo does not work in.
If your jowls are mild and your main complaint is that the skin around your jaw looks thin and crepey, Profhilo may well be enough. If your jawline has genuinely lost its edge, it will not be.
If volume loss is driving your jowls, and for most people it is, Profhilo Structura is the treatment built for it. Same manufacturer, same base ingredient, entirely different job. Structura is placed in the facial fat layer, where it restores the support you have lost and lifts the tissue that has dropped. It is £350, or £900 for a course of three.

If loose skin rather than lost volume is the main problem, a jawline filler can define the edge that has softened. And if it is a bit of both, which it usually is, a combination will get you further than either alone. That is a conversation to have at a consultation, not a decision to make from a blog post.

Will Profhilo tighten my jawline?
It will improve the quality and firmness of the skin along your jawline, which helps at the margins. It will not lift a jowl that has formed because the fat above it has dropped. For that you need something working in the fat layer, which is what Structura does.
Can I have Profhilo and Structura together?
Yes, and many patients do, in separate sessions. One improves the surface, the other restores the structure underneath. If your skin is both thin and slack, that combination is often the right plan.
How do I know if my jowls are volume or skin?
Honestly, you probably cannot tell by looking in a mirror, and neither can we from a photograph. It takes someone assessing your face in person. That is exactly what a consultation is for, and it is free.
Is there anything that will not work?
Skincare will not fix jowls. Neither will an at home device, a facial massage tool, or anything sold on social media promising a jawline in six weeks. If jowling is bothering you enough to be reading this, you are past the point where topical products will make a difference.
How long will the results last?
Around six months for Structura, similar for Profhilo, though it varies with your age and your skin. Neither is permanent, and that is arguably a feature rather than a fault. Faces change, and a treatment that wears off is one you can reconsider.
Do I have to have a course?
No, but you will usually get a better result from one, and it works out cheaper. A course of three Structura treatments is £900 rather than £1,050. Your practitioner will tell you honestly what your face actually needs, which may be less than you expect.
