Profhilo Structura arrived in the UK in June 2024, and two years on, it is one of the treatments patients ask about most at our clinics. Usually because they have noticed their jawline softening and want to know whether something can be done without surgery.
Below you will find what Profhilo Structura actually is, what it costs, and where it genuinely helps. If you already know and simply want to book, our Profhilo Structura treatment page has the full details.
The Short Version
- Profhilo Structura is an injectable hyaluronic acid made by IBSA Derma. It works in the facial fat layer, not in the skin.
- It restores lost volume across the cheeks and midface, which is what lifts and softens jowls.
- It is not the same as Profhilo. Profhilo improves skin quality. Structura restores facial structure.
- At Tinkable, it costs £350, or £900 for a course of three.
- It works best where jowling is driven by volume loss. If loose skin is the main cause, the result will be more limited.
- Results build over a couple of weeks and typically last around six months.
What Is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura is an injectable made by IBSA Derma, the Italian company behind the original Profhilo. It combines high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid using their NAHYCO Hybrid Technology, at a higher concentration than standard Profhilo.
The defining difference is not the ingredient but the layer it is placed into. Structura is delivered into the facial fat layer rather than the skin, where it supports and reorganises the fat tissue that gives your face its shape. It restores the projection you lose across the cheeks and midface with age, and because it is still hyaluronic acid, skin quality improves alongside the volume.
Fat has a bad reputation it does not deserve. In the face, it is one of the clearest markers of youth, and losing it is a large part of why an ageing face looks tired rather than simply older. Structura works with the fat you still have, rather than adding bulk on top of it.
Does Profhilo Structura Work For Jowls?
This is the question we are asked most, so here is an honest answer.
Jowls form for three reasons, usually all at once. The fat pads in your midface shrink and slide downwards. The bone beneath them resorbs. And the skin loses elasticity and stops holding its shape.
Profhilo Structura addresses the first of those. By restoring volume and support in the midface, it lifts the tissue that has dropped and softens the shadow along the jawline. If your jowling is early to moderate and driven by volume loss, it is one of the treatments most likely to help.
If your jowling is mostly loose skin, or if it is advanced, Structura on its own will underdeliver, and any clinic telling you otherwise is selling rather than advising. In those cases a jawline filler or a combination approach will get you further. A proper consultation should identify which of the three factors is actually driving your jowls.
The mistake people make is assuming jowls are a skin problem. Most of the time they are a volume problem, and no amount of skincare or tightening will fix what has actually dropped. Work out the cause first, then choose the treatment.

Profhilo Or Profhilo Structura?
Same manufacturer, same base ingredient, different jobs entirely. This is the simplest way to hold the difference in your head.
| Profhilo | Profhilo Structura | |
| Where it works | In the skin | In the fat layer beneath |
| What it improves | Hydration, firmness, crepey texture | Lost volume, flat cheeks, jowls |
| HA concentration | 64mg per 2ml | 90mg per 2ml |
| The complaint it answers | “My skin looks tired” | “My face has dropped” |
The two treatments are not rivals. Plenty of patients have both, in separate sessions, because one improves the surface and the other restores the structure underneath. If skin quality rather than volume is your main concern, Profhilo is the one to look at.
How Much Does Profhilo Structura Cost?
At Tinkable, Profhilo Structura is £350 for a single treatment, or £900 for a course of three. Standard Profhilo is £300, or £750 for a course of three.
Prices vary considerably between clinics. Be cautious of anyone offering this treatment at a significantly lower rate. This is an injectable placed into the fat layer of your face, and the person administering it matters far more than what you paid for the product.
If a clinic is significantly cheaper than everyone else, ask why. You are paying for the person holding the needle as much as for the product in it, and that is not somewhere to save money.

What The Clinical Evidence Says
IBSA’s own clinical trials reported significant improvement in the midface after the first treatment, sustained across three months. As with all manufacturer data, read it with appropriate caution. Your own result will depend on your face rather than on an average.
What we can say from working with Profhilo Structura since its UK launch is that it works gradually rather than dramatically. Most patients notice their face looking fuller and better supported within a couple of weeks, with the result continuing to build. It restores rather than transforms, which is what most people actually want.
We Were There When It Launched
Profhilo Structura made its European debut in London in June 2024, nearly a decade after the original Profhilo, brought to the UK and Ireland by HA-Derma. Rachel Fox, our Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber and Company Director, was invited to that launch alongside Sally.
That matters for one practical reason. We have been working with Profhilo Structura since it first arrived in this country, rather than adding it to the menu once it became popular. If you are going to let someone inject your face, it is reasonable to ask how long they have actually been using the product.
We were at the launch in London in 2024, and what struck us was that it was not being sold as another filler. It works with the fat you still have rather than adding to it, and that is a different idea. We brought it in because it does something none of our other treatments were doing.

Where To Have Profhilo Structura
We offer Profhilo Structura across all five Tinkable clinics, in Enville, Bridgnorth, Leamington Spa, Coventry and Daventry. Every injectable is administered by a doctor or a nurse prescriber, never a beauty therapist, and we are registered and inspected by Save Face.
Your consultation is complimentary, and if Structura is not the right answer for your face, we will say so. You can read the full treatment detail, including aftercare and what to expect, on our Profhilo Structura page, or get in touch if you would rather just ask.
Your Profhilo Structura Questions Answered
What is Profhilo Structura made of?
Hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already produces. Profhilo Structura uses a hybrid of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid at 90mg per 2ml, made by IBSA Derma using their NAHYCO Hybrid Technology. Standard Profhilo is 64mg per 2ml. Nothing synthetic is being added to your face.
Is Profhilo Structura a filler?
Not in the way most people mean it. A traditional filler adds volume in one place and holds its shape there. Structura is placed in the fat layer, where it supports and reorganises the tissue you already have. The result is a restored face rather than a filled one, which is why it tends to look less obviously done.
Is it safe?
Hyaluronic acid is very well tolerated and Profhilo Structura is a regulated product. What matters far more is who is injecting it and where. Ask whether your practitioner is a doctor or a nurse prescriber, ask what training they have had with this specific product, and check the clinic is on the Save Face register. If a clinic is evasive about any of that, walk away.
How long do the results last?
Around six months for most people, though it varies with your age, your skin and how you live. It is not permanent, and for many patients that is a positive. Faces change over time, and a treatment that wears off is one you can reconsider.
Can Profhilo Structura be reversed?
Yes. It is hyaluronic acid, which can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if something needs correcting. That is not true of every volumising treatment, and it is a reasonable thing to consider if this is your first injectable.
Am I too young or too old for it?
Volume loss usually becomes visible in the late thirties and continues from there, so most Profhilo Structura patients are somewhere between their late thirties and sixties. Age is not really the question. What matters is whether volume loss is what is actually bothering you.
