Restylane Injections are the gold standard in Dermal Fillers. Q-Med the manufacturing company is Sweden based and have achieved excellence through years of experience, millions of treatments through out the world and, in our view, more importantly, they provide the most clinical studies, clinical papers and medical trials on their range then any other dermal filler.
Without a doubt, they have proved that Restylane does what it says it can do.
Some studies have proven that to have two treatments in close succession, will allow the product last up to 18 months, which represents even better value.
Other studies show that a Botox treatment in the same area as the Restylane treatment allows the results of both last up to 12 months. Botox normally last for 3 months.
Restylane touch, Restylane and Restylane Perlane are based on a substance which is a non animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA) which exists naturally in the body. It's most important function is to carry and bind water. Q-med have developed a way of stabilizing the hyaluronic acid to achieve an effect that lasts for six to twelve months when smoothing lines, up to six months when used to augment lips and up to twelve months when smoothing lines and wrinkles. From experience its best to plan that result will around the six month mark.
The crystal clear NASHA gel is injected into the skin and achieves its effects by providing volume.
