Are you fed up of your lines and wrinkles?

What to consider before having Botox

1.Why Have Botox?

Many of our clients have Botox to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it creates a soft and natural look, whilst reducing the look of the wrinkles.

2. How does Botox work?

Botox relaxes the facial muscle preventing the line from being formed.

3. Is Botox painful?

Our team of nurses all try to make Botox treatment as comfortable as possible.

4. How long will the treatment take?

Botox appointments are 30 minutes long which allows enough time to have a  thorough discussion nurse, and have your injectable treatment.

5. How long will Botox last?

Longevity can depend on the individual, but on average results should last 3-4 months.

6. Why do I need a consultation?

Our consultations are free of charge, and there is no obligation to have treatment afterwards. Consultations provide you with all the treatment information you need, and also gives you an opportunity to ask the nurse any questions you may have. Our consultations can also provide you with a specific price, as our nurse can help you to choose the right product and amount for the results you wish to achieve.

7. What locations can I have Botox in?

We have three Tinkable clinics, based in Stourbridge, Enville and the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. However, we also serve clients in locations such as Leamington, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Malvern, Birmingham and many more, on a monthly basis.

8. Why choose Tinkable for your Botox treatment?

Tinkable have a team of qualified nurses who regularly undertake and update training, as a company have over fifteen years experience in aesthetics. We are also Save Face accredited, meaning that an independent regulator has checked our nurses and clinics to ensure we are providing a high level of service and safety at all times.

9. What happens after treatment?

After treatment, we provide you with a 24 hour contact number, and we offer a review appointment 2-4 weeks after your treatment has taken place.

10. What results should I expect from my Botox treatment?

After Botox treatment your lines and wrinkles should have softened and be less visible.

11. What happens if my treatment goes wrong?

Occasionally, you can get side effects from Botox such as bruising, marks at the injection site, feeling of heavy eyelids, mild headaches, but these are rare. They usually go down within 2-3 days but you can always contact your nurse directly to get any further advice and peace of mind.

12. What is the difference between Botox and filler?

Botox targets the muscle and is used for lines that are caused by muscle activity, such as frown lines. Botox is generally used for the top half of the face. Fillers however, are used to fill lines and are more commonly used in the mid to lower face region for areas such as the cheeks and smile lines. Fillers are used for lines that are still prominent even when the face is relaxed.

13. Can I have Botox in my lower face?

You can have Botox for the lower face and it targets problems such as square jaw and orange peel ‘popply’ chin.

14. Can Botox treat anything else?

In the NHS, Botox has been proven to help people suffering with medical conditions such as migraines, overactive bladders and muscle spasms. Here at Tinkable, we offer Botox for cosmetic purposes to treat fine lines, and wrinkles, but also to help reduce underarm sweating.

15. How much Botox will I need?

We offer Botox by the area so you can choose from one, two or three areas. You may not need to have as much as you think, or you may need more depending on the results you are looking to achieve. If you’re unsure about this then a free consultation is perfect in helping you to choose the exact amount you need to get the results you want!

16. Who will be undertaking my treatment?

Before having any injectable treatment at a clinic, you should ensure that the person injecting you is a skilled and qualified practitioner. Our team of nurses have over ten years experience and regularly undertake up to date training, so you can be sure you are in safe and trusted hands.

17. Which product is being used?

The term Botox is regularly used, but did you know that Botox is a brand of anti wrinkle injection? Some clinics may advertise other anti wrinkle injections as Botox, but in fact that is incorrect. At Tinkable we use the market leader and original Botox. It is good to make sure that you know what product is being used at your chosen clinic as the ingredients and side effects can vary.

18. Is Botox the right treatment for me?

Botox is typically used for the forehead and around the eyes, it relaxes the muscle, so is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by muscle activity. If you are more concerned about lines on the lower face, or lines that are still visible when the face is relaxed, then you may need dermal filler treatment instead.

19. Can I trust the clinic?

Our clinics are Save Face accredited, which means that an independent regulator has assessed our staff and clinics to ensure that we are providing a high level of service that is safe and effective. We also have an excellence award because of our volume of five star reviews. Always make sure before having treatment with the clinic that they have good customer reviews and a qualified team of practitioners.

20. What is the history of Botox?

In the 1950’s, researchers began to see that Botulinum Toxin could be used to relax the muscles. In 1980, the FDA approved Botox to be used on humans, and Botox started to become popular immediately.
