Upper Face
Usually, concerns in the upper face area are those caused when certain muscles contract. for example the horizontal frown lines across the forehead, visible when we look upwards. The vertical lines "Angry Lines" between the eyebrows. Like the number eleven appear when we make an angry face and of course the crows feet when we laugh or smile.
Muscles around the nose cause crunch lines and bunny lines often resulting in extensive lines and wrinkles around this area.
All these lines are caused by muscles contracting and without a doubt one of the forms of Toxin (i.e. Botox, Vistabel or Dysport) are definitely the preferred treatment and will give better results for these lines than any other procedure available.
However if the lines are also present at rest, or if the concern is scaring or pitting in the upper face, then one of the dermal filler range may be a better option, Dermal Fillers include (Restylane, Perlane, Macrolane, Radiesse, Juvederm and Sculptra) a combination in some cases of fillers and botox may be needed to give an optimal correction with longer lasting results.
