    Scars & Pitting - Crappie Lines and aging skin

    Have a look at the before and after below,  this lady gave us permission to use her photo after  carrying her scars left from a surgical procedure for many years.

    In general, as we age, our skin looses elasticity collagen, resulting in the appearance of dry crappie skin. Often with the appearance of very fine lines and wrinkles hachured accross the face. These lines although apparent, have no definition, and therefore cannot be corrected with a normal dermal filler.

    Aging skin will loose volume, will present hollows, again due to the lack of elasticity and collagen production. To combat these concerns, specialist products have been produced and can give excellent results. An example of these treatments / products are Restylane Vital, Restylane Vital Light, Sculptra and other treatment types that may also be considered are Laser Treatments, Microdermabrasion, Skin Peels and in some cases a combination of treatment types may be required.

    Scar Revision/ Scar removal.

    Its amazing the number of patients we have treated for scar tissue who had been previously told that surgery was their only option,

    If we don’t think we can make a difference we will know at consultation, so all you have to lose is an hour or less of your time.

    The crux of scar removal is being able to separate the scar tissue from the tissue below, once we have achieved this we can then use one of the Dermal Filler ranges, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, combined with medical skin needling, in some cases to reduce or in most cases completely eradicate the scar.

    Scar Revision usually involves small amounts of product and is generally very in-expensive.
