Are you fed up of your lines and wrinkles?

Dermal Fillers Birmingham, Lip Fillers, Wrinkle filler and facial filler injections

Voluma | Juvederm | Sculptra

However an experienced practitioner will use these products to achieve much more than a simple fill by using them to enhance, lift, emphasise or hide problems or concerns. Dermal fillers come in various volumes or thicknesses for a variety of uses from correcting light 'sleep lines' around the delicate eye are to heavier use in lifting and removing heavy folds that may run from the nose to the mouth area as can be seen in the images below. At our Dermal Filler Clinics we use facial fillers for most indications and concerns within the facial area. Dermal fillers, in their simplest use fill and reduce most lines and wrinkles both upper and lower face. We currently have clinics throughout the West Midlands in Birmingham | Coventry | Leamington | Stourbridge | Stafford | Walsall | Warwickshire | Northampton and Worcester with more clinics coming online all the time. Search for your nearest clinic on our Clinic Locations page.

Dermal fillers work by literally filling in lines and the results can be seen immediately. Facial fillers in the hands of experienced injectors have many more uses; they will lift the face, shape the jaw line, reduce or remove scars, lift eyebrows and the list goes on. Since the establishment of our clinic at Stourbridge in 2002, we have examined many different types of dermal fillers and we have found that the range we currently use is by far the most clinically tested and approved dermal filler within the cosmetic industry.

Which type of dermal fillers and lip fillers?

There are many Dermal Fillers and Lip Fillers (also known as facial fillers or cosmetic fillers) on the market in the UK and in their basic form they are used to fill lines, wrinkles or folds by means of injection.

There is practically no area of the body where a dermal filler cannot be used. Most are Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based due to this being a substance that is found at human cell level and thus the product is very natural.

The facial filler we use was the first dermal filler to have a built in anesthetic. It is also the only facial filler with a natural hydrating effect, which means that, although results can be seen immediately, two to four weeks after injection results will still be improving and when most other dermal fillers are reducing and losing effect, our filler continues to improve.

Dermal fillers give an instant result and can be used all over the body to treat scars, cheeks, and of course lips.

Most dermal fillers are short duration 6 - 12 months. Permanent filler products can be found but in our experience, finder beware.

Sculptra (also known as "the face lift by injection") is not classed as a dermal filler but as a collagen stimulator, which can last 2-3 years and by restoring volume, it lifts and plumps the face, which in turn, reduces lines, wrinkles and folds.

All dermal fillers are currently classed as medical devices or medical implants and although they do not need a prescription, they should without exception be administered by a medical professional, a nurse or doctor who has under gone specialist training with the specific product they intend to use.

Choosing an injector for dermal fillers is quite difficult and very important as they ultimately will suggest the best dermal filler to suit you.

Always go for experience. An experienced practitioner will have several years of treatment behind them and should be seen anything from 5 to 15 patients per day.

Facial Wrinkle Filler Juvederm Voluma

Voluma is the ideal treatment for volumising and giving the plumping effect. Recommended tretments with Voluma include, full face lifting, not targeting specific lines or wrinkles, the hands, the neck and decolletage.

Voluma is classed as a medical device.

HA (Hylaronic acid) is a naturally occurring polysaccharide which has important structural functions in Skin and connective tissues. HA is strongly hydrophilic and performs a natural hydrating function within the dermis.

Functions of Hylaronic acid:

Structural integrity of tissues, protection, Lubrication of joints and soft tissue, Water balance, Transport of nutrients, Cell mobility and proliferation, Tissue growth and wound repair.

Voluma is stabilised hylaronic acid. Stabilization is a minimal form of cross linking and means the product is altered by less than 1% from the bodies own hylaronic acid.

As Hylaronic acid is hydropyllic (meaning it draws water to it) it will naturally attract water and hydrate the tissues. This will occur with all Restylane products. The difference with Voluma is that it is a smooth gel and will spread in the tissues instead of filling a wrinkle or fold so Voluma will hydrate a larger area of skin. e.g. the backs of the hands, larger areas of the face therefore hydrating skin and combating dryness , sun damage etc.

The product will also spread to the fibroblasts in the skin and by mechanically stretching these will cause them to act like a younger persons producing collagen.

In Summary, Voluma is the ideal treatment for the correction of dry, dull skin with a fresh look, hydrated skin and reduced lines and wrinkles, due to the plumping effect. Areas best treated with Voluma are the whole of the face, not targeting specific lines or wrinkles, the hands, the neck and the decolletage.

Information on Juvederm Filler

Juvederm® ULTRA is a new generation of dermal fillers from ALLERGAN, a world leader in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic products. It's a natural, biodegradable gel that flows easily into your skin, instantly filling out those troublesome lines leaving a smooth and natural look and feel. So, you'll notice an immediate difference after just one treatment.

Possibly the biggest difference is that ALLERGAN have asked patients what they want, the most common request is that the injection experience is more comfortable. ALLERGAN listened to this feedback and have added lidocaine, an anaesthetic commonly used by dentists and doctors for local numbing to Juvederm® ULTRA in order to improve the experience, and results seen. The Juvederm® family of products last longer than other formulas - at least 12 months due to the unique way they are made.

Juvederm® ULTRA comes in three formulations for more natural-looking, customisable results.

Juvederm® ULTRA 2 Erases moderate lines, especially those around the lips and corners of the eyes and those very close to the surface of the skin.

Juvederm® ULTRA 3 Smoothes wrinkles between the nose and corner of the mouth and around lips. It can be used very subtly to plump out lips in order to maintain a youthful smile.

Juvederm® ULTRA 4 Works on the most noticeable folds and lines, and improves the contour of the face.
